We are devoted to pursue beauty and fight against ugliness because we believe everybody deserves good design and that good design does not have to be expensive. Möels & Co is founded on three values: creativity, desirability and accessibility, this is what guides us throughout our entire design process. MEET THE TEAM
FOUNDER AND HEAD OF DESIGN
I am the creative mind responsible for overseeing all design and innovation aspects of our products and brands, including architectural design, product design, graphic design, user experience design and package design. I design all kinds of things, from fashion to mobility and lead all design projects from start to finish. I'm passionate about designs that are simple, durable and aesthetically pleasing. I try hard to stay up to date with industry trends and to get to know the audience my designs are intended for serving. I have good listening and communication skills and am always up for new challenges, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. I’m always looking for an opportunity to do better and achieve greatness and 'wowness'.
My job is simple, but it's very challenging. We are a self funded startup and my role is to build a solid scalable business without any money raised. As the chief executive my primary responsibilities include making business decisions, managing the overall operations and resources of the company. I make strategic decisions that direct the company's overall growth and look at how capital is allocated across in-house and outsourced projects. I deal with vendors across the world and make sure all projects are delivered on time and on budget. Simply put, I set the tone, the vision and the culture of the company and I work extremely hard to make Möels & Co a very successful brand and a long-term business.
To be honest, we don't really like titles, the title is not what lives on LinkedIn or email signature, it's what we bring to work everyday. Yes, they’re important, but a title doesn’t give us any superpowers. For us, the most important is attitude — the no-ego, no-asshole attitude: hungry, collaborative, empathetic, humble and above all passionate. That’s what we are, titles come later.
HEAD OF FINANCE
I am responsible for developing and executing strategies to promote our brands. I compile demographic data and develop targeting strategies to build greater awareness of the products we offer. I monitor trends and develop pricing strategies, I optimize our websites for the search engines and write engaging sales copy. I capture sales leads and build email and advertising campaigns based on demographic data. I use digital channels to reach customers, build brand awareness and promote our products, then I evaluate the performance and troubleshoot those that underperform. Simply put, my job is to find the most engaging, creative and concise way to communicate what our company is all about.
I am in charge of the financial health of the company. I prepare financial statements and business activity reports and assess financial details to ensure tax regulations are met. I assist management in making financial decisions and supervising budgets. I am skilled in dealing with financial constraints in a resourceful manner and negotiating to achieve beneficial agreement. I conduct risk management, forecast financial results and approve or reject budgets. I analyze the market trends to find ways to grow and bring in more revenue as well as reduce overhead costs. I work with a lot of data analysis and use their results to help increase the company's profitability.
MADMAN & FATMAN
Our story began during the 2019 lockdown in a small studio flat in Kensington, London. With a MacBook Pro, a small table and many ideas, Madman & Fatman was born. Our company has been self-funded since its creation and this freedom gives us the opportunity to pursue our own vision. Our lean structure enables us to work creatively and efficiently, in a low overhead structure, maintaining the flexibility and agility needed nowadays in the highly competitive e-com marketplace. We design and develop products in many different market segments on a brand-by-brand basis. Each brand we create is independent of one another, they are marketed separately and each with its own budget, identity, audience and equity. Our design studio has both 2D and 3D capability and uses state of the art software to develop products from conception through to manufacture. Our design scope covers all areas of product design, including ideation, market research, prototyping, packaging, UX, photography and filmmaking.
MEET THE MAIN PARTNERS
Wolf Suisse is one of the most technologically advanced watch case manufacturers in Switzerland, with an annual production capacity of 500.000 stainless steel cases. The company has a lean management system and it is fully Industry 4.0 automated. Wolf Suisse Asia is based in Hong Kong and has a partner factory in China where our steel cases are made. Our dials, hands and crystals are also made in Hong Kong under the supervision and quality control of Wolf Suisse Switzerland. All products manufactured in their Chinese plant are certified in accordance with the NIHS standards of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry and are inspected by independent auditors prior to shipment. Wolf Suisse is ISO 9001 certified, the factory passes regular ethical and technical assessments by third party inspectors and has its own QC on site.
RONDA TIME CENTER
Ronda was founded in 1946 and the Ronda Group today includes five subsidiary operations, two production facilities in Switzerland, a manufacturing facility in Thailand and a sales office in Hong Kong. All in all, Ronda employs over 1,000 personnel in its Swiss and Asian operations. Ronda Time Center, the Ticino based subsidiary of the Ronda Group, offers outstanding full-watch assembly services. Well known and prestigious brands from all over the world assemble their watches at Ronda Time Center in Switzerland. The entire assembly operation is performed using only Swiss movements, to ensure that the finished timepieces can be marketed with the coveted “Swiss Made” label. We entrusted Ronda Time Center with the assembly of all our timepieces, QC and also the logistics and fulfillment services. In addition, our timepieces are laser engraved at Ronda Time Center with state-of-the-art holographic laser technology from Acsys Lasertechnik, Germany.
Sellita was founded in 1950 as an assembly house, buying ébauches (movements in kit form) from ETA, assembling them and reselling the completed movements to watch brands. Today the business is made up of 500 staff based at three locations in Switzerland and Germany. Sellita has always been a B2B enterprise, quietly supplying the watch industry with a huge number of tried-and-tested mechanical movements each year. In recent years that number has been as high as 1.2 million annually; to put it into perspective, that’s more movements than Rolex and is only exceeded by the output of the Swatch Group/ETA. Sellita has only been selling its own movements for the last 18 of its 72 years in business and the movements it has supplied since 2004 have almost all been based on historic, out of patent
Headquartered in Austria, this family-owned and operated business was established in 1765 as a leather workshop and tannery. With more than two hundred years of innovation in the watch industry, Hirsch's Rembordé construction technique patented in 1955, enabling the seamless connection of upper and lining leather, remains the industry standard today. Hirsch watch straps are attached to more Swiss watches than any other watch strap company, as an OEM manufacturer, Hirsch supplies straps for most Swiss watch brands including The Swatch Group and Panerai. Most of the Hirsch product lines are still made in Austria, where quality and expertise are passed down generation after generation. Hirsch's select taste for fine leather hides and quality steel buckles has made them one of the best strap solutions for the majority of the high-end watch brands. No matter what watch you own, if you have a Hirsch leather strap on it, you know you have one of the best watch straps the market can offer.
